YOLO

As I drew accustomed to writing with a pen, I pondered the lack of a backspace key; both on this piece of paper and in life.

“You only live once” is the current rampant saying. Young people, my peers (in age), will say "YOLO' and use this as their justification to do something against their better judgment.

I’ve heard some debate in Christian circles about this concept.
“Yolo.” One will say with a shrug.
“..that statement is biblically inaccurate.’ Another will quip, most likely considering the promise of eternal life.

Fellow New Creations in Christ,
I believe that statement is actually quite accurate.
You get one life on this earth and it is promised to go by as quickly as a twinkling of an eye.
Rather than allowing “yolo” to be a passcode into a moment, night, or life of the cheapening of your spirit; may it be a reminder, a call to arms to serve and love. Make the most of your life, because you’re not getting a second one.

You aren't promised tomorrow, so make the most of today.
It’s between you and God to decide what that means for you.
