I am a people watcher. Always have been.
I was the child that found it more interesting to watch the others interact. When I sit at a restaurant, my eyes drift to different tables and I try to figure the relationship between all of the guests.
Maybe I should think to study psychology :)

I have gotten the opportunity to sit in a handful of airports in the past few months. Whenever I go to an airport, I first find my gate and then find food/outlets/chairs. I then rest until it's time to go to my gate, and sometimes I people watch.
I saw people walking around with their heads craned upward. Looking for signs of which gate they were approaching, checking the monitors for any delays, changes, or even confirmation of their current plans.
As I awaited to board my flight number 470 from DFW to Fort Lauderdale, I had this thought "What if people lived the way they do in airports?"
It always makes me giggle when I see people walk calmly one way...and then a few minutes later dash madly towards another gate.
So....
What if people were always looking up towards the heavens?
What if I always consulted the signs?
What if you were always checking God's heart for any delays, changes, or confirmation of your plans?
I think there might be less people running back and forth, not sure of what's going on.
I was a bad passenger on my flight out of Florida into a different country. You see, I was told via monitors and the employee over the speaker system that our flight was delayed an hour and fifteen minutes.
So, I bought a better dinner and sat down, found an outlet and got on my cell and laptop to communicate with people before I left the country. Less than an hour had passed and I heard my name being called over the speaker system.
"This is the last call for Tabitha Bell."
WHAT?!? When did that happen? I was so absorbed in my own self, in doing my own thing, in my own logic and time-keeping skills...I had nearly missed my flight! Something changed...and I wasn't paying attention to anything that would tell me about the change.
Don't get too busy, too planned, or too prideful to miss out on direction.

Good thought. We should be looking up with our ears listening for the trumpet call.
